Shop Volunteer

There’s a great new opportunity for you to join our team at our new Hospice Shop in Finchley Road!

We rely solely on volunteers to run our charity shops and they are vital to ensure supporters are cared for when donating items, customers receive excellent service and we generate maximum revenue for the Hospice. Each year we aim to fundraise £1.8million a year from voluntary donations alone, so with your help, we will be able to achieve this.

Our Shop volunteers will have varied responsibilities, including:

  • Sorting and pricing donations
  • Operating the till and Co-ordinating sales
  • Assisting customers in friendly and helpful manner
  • Ensuring the shop floor, displays and stock room remain clean and tidy

Volunteers will gain a wealth of experience in retail, shop management and customer service and will work with a team of experienced volunteers.

Drivers: We are looking for volunteer drivers to collect bags of donated clothes, accessories and homeware from people in the local community who are unable to bring their donations to the shop, signing donors up to Gift Aid where possible. You will need to own a car or van with a clean license and a polite and efficient manner for communicating with the general public.
