Payroll Giving

Payroll giving is an easy and tax-effective way to support St John's Hospice.

Payroll gifts are deducted via your payslip before tax and therefore the actual cost to you is just 80p for every £1 that we receive, or if you are a higher rate tax payer, just 60p.

For example:

Donation £5.00 a month £10.00 a month £20.00 a month

Cost to a 22% tax payer £4.00 £8.00 £16.00

Contribution from the tax man £1.00 £2.00 £4.00

Cost to a 40% tax payer £3.00 £6.00 £12.00

Contribution from the tax man £2.00 £4.00 £8.00
