Race Nights.

The New Inn pub on Allitsen Road has continued to play host to our charity Race Nights, these are really great events that allow the community to get together and and raise some valuable money for St John's.  The Race Nights consist of horse racing videos which betters watch and place bets on particular horses and win cash prizes, it really is a great night and we are so thankful for Jan Rooney at the New Inn for hosting these evenings.  At our last Race Night with Jan we raised just under £1000.00 which is amazing, dates to follow for the next evening.

The Hellenic Restaurant has also hosted a Race Night for St John's recently so we would like to pay special thanks to Ritchie who helped in organising the event, again we made just near £1000.00 so we are all really pleased.

Charity Football and Netball Match.

In May, Pat Albert and her wonderful committee took the lead in organising a charity football and netball match in aid of St John’s. The day went really well with lots of healthy competition and lots of money raised. Pat and the committee raised about £2000.00 which is great, thanks to all!!

Christmas 2008!!

Christmas is coming and at St John’s Hospice we intend to celebrate in style!

As usual we will be holding our annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday December 6th in The Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth and our Pantomime also. Tables for the Fayre are filling fast so if you would like to reserve a table please contact Luisa on 020 78064011, tables are £25.00 each.

The Fayre will have the usual mix of bric-a-brac, jewellery, face painting and of course Santa’s Grotto amongst lots of other nice things.

The Panto this year is Aladdin and promises to be lots of fun. Tickets are priced at £12.00 per adult and £8.00 per child. Tickets will be on sale shortly but if you would like to reserve spaces before hand please contact Luisa on 0207 8064011.
