What is the Inpatient Unit?
The Inpatient Unit is a 19 bedded care unit. It consists of a specialist team working to care for your needs 24 hours a day offering you a high quality service.
What is the Hospice like? As a patient we hope that you will find the environment relaxed and friendly. The unit consists of mainly single ensuite rooms and two 4 bedded bays. Every effort is made to accommodate your choice of room. Every bed area has TV, telephone and lockable cupboard. 4-star meals and newspapers are provided.
There are several comfortable sitting areas that cater for smokers and non-smokers with an opportunity to watch TV, video or listen to music. There are various garden areas and all have disabled access.
What can you expect? The team provides a superior degree of holistic patient and family centred care for people with terminal illnesses such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, vCJD and Motor Neurone Disease. Our patients are entitled to live life to the fullest throughout their illness and are treated with dignity, empathy and respect. While we do our best to cater for your specific dietary, religious needs, etc we do ask that you inform us of any individual requirements.
