The benefits of volunteering for us

Our volunteers help to provide services that are fundamental to delivering the best possible patient experience for people at St. John's Hospice. By giving your time to help St. John's Hospice care for people, you help us to offer so much more for patients and their loved ones.

Help the Hospices estimate that over 100,000 people volunteer in hospices across the UK. A 2006 survey found that financial value of volunteers to hospices was over £112 million. This means that if hospices paid people to do the work done by volunteers, our costs would increase by nearly a quarter. We really could not function at the level we do without you!
