A warm, welcoming space to connect, share and heal

At St John’s Hospice, we recognise that grief can take many shapes and timelines. Whether your loss is recent or happened years ago, the road through bereavement can feel isolating, confusing and deeply personal. In response to this, we are proud to announce the launch of the Grief Café, a new weekly drop-in space designed to bring people together in understanding, companionship and shared compassion.

What is the Grief Café?

The Grief Café is a gentle, non-judgmental gathering open to anyone who has experienced a loss connected to St John’s Hospice. You don’t need to book just come along when you feel ready. The atmosphere is relaxed: you can chat over a hot drink, reflect quietly, or listen as others share. There is absolutely no obligation to speak; sometimes the mere presence of others who “get it” brings the greatest comfort.

When and where:

The Grief Café takes place every Wednesday from 11:30am to 12:30pm in the St John’s Hospice Wellbeing Centre, located at 60 Grove End Road, London NW8 9NH.

If you would like any further information, please contact us at HospiceSWB@hje.org.uk or 020 7806 4017.

We warmly invite you to join us at the Grief Café, to share space, stories, and solace with others who truly understand. If you would like any further information, or simply want to talk about what we offer, our team is here to support you.
