Give through your salary
Payroll giving is one of the easiest ways to make a regular donation to St John’s. It is also tax free, meaning your regular gift will actually cost you less.

Payroll giving is one of the easiest ways to make a regular donation to St John’s. It is also tax free, meaning your regular gift will actually cost you less.
Payroll giving is an easy way for you to donate to St John’s directly through your salary without paying tax on it, meaning your regular gift will actually cost you less. For example, if you choose to give £10 a month, £8 will be deducted from your salary each month and the remaining £2 will come from the His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
Payroll giving donors supply St John’s with a regular source of income, allowing us to plan ahead and budget for the future helping to ensure we can be there for everyone who needs us.
For 40 years we have been creating moments of joy and compassion both inside and outside of our hospice and work to ensure that each of our patients and their families are supported through every aspect of their journey.
We want to build a new future. A future that involves all of us. A community of compassion and kindness which can reach, connect and support all those who need us. Your regular gift can help make this vision a reality.

To start your regular donation to St John’s through your salary, simply speak to your Payroll Department and they’ll be able to help set this up for you. Once they have processed your request for your chosen amount, you don’t need to do anything else and your gift will be made directly from your salary to St John’s each payday.
You can change your donation amount or cancel your gift to us at any time simply by speaking to your Payroll Department.
If you aren’t already signed up with a Payroll Giving agency, there are agencies that will facilitate payroll giving and distribute the donations from your employees. A list of HMRC approved agencies can be found on the HMRC Payroll Giving page.
