Join in the fun: Mad Hatter's Tea Party 2024

Our Mad Hatter's Tea Party celebration is back in 2024!

‍

Throughout June, we’re inviting you to host a tea party in aid of St John’s Hospice. Embracing the whimsical spirit of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, your tea party could be a small gathering with friends, a picnic in a local park, a bake sale at work or a larger event in your community. It could even be a lovely occasion to come together with friends and family to celebrate the life of someone special. Whatever it is you decide to do, every cup of tea poured, and every cake shared will contribute to the vital work of St John’s Hospice.

‍

A team celebrating Mad Hatters Tea Party.

‍

This year is especially important to us as it is our 40th birthday year, so we are hoping you will get in the party spirit and host some truly whimsical and wonderful Mad Hatter’s Tea Party celebrations.

‍

To get started simply sign up today for the price of £5. You'll then gain access to our digital Party Pack, containing helpful resources, tips, recipes, and downloadable materials to add an extra touch of magic to your party!

‍

We also have a custom pack for schools full of different ways you can get involved throughout the month of June – from non-uniform days to wacky hat competitions, we are sure your students, their families and your colleagues will be inspired to fundraise for a great cause. If you feel that your school may need some extra inspiration, why not invite us in to run an assembly?

‍

If you’d like to get involved, please contact lucy.cornwell@hje.org.uk or call 020 3832 1436.

How your support helps

It costs over £7 million to be able to offer our quality, holistic care to patients and their families free of charge. As well as our Inpatient Unit and Wellbeing Centre located in St John’s Wood, we work out in the community, in people’s homes, providing care to more than 4,000 people across North London each year.

‍

By signing up to host a Mad Hatter's Tea Party you will be helping us to reach more people and provide more care. Whether it is supporting a child with a bereavement counselling session following the loss of a loved one, providing a community nurse with new clinical equipment, or providing specialist one-to-one nursing on our Inpatient Unit, your fundraising will enable even more people in our community to live well for longer. People just like Veronica.

‍

“St John’s helped us realise we weren’t alone and that there was this amazing community we were a part of and that we could be supported by."

Veronica, Patient.
