Take a look at all the various ways you can get involved and help raise funds to support the hospice in our 40th year:

Mad Hatter’s Secondhand Wonderland

As part of our month of Mad Hatter’s celebrations, we’ll be hosting our ‘Secondhand Wonderland’ an exciting pop-up allowing you to shop pre-loved items for ridiculously low prices. Nearly all items are just £1, with clothes, accessories, shoes and bundles of books and more up for grabs!

The event will take place on Saturday 8th June from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm in the Nursery Pavilion at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Entry to the pop-up shop costs just £2 which includes a paper shopper, or £5, which includes a St John’s tote bag. Tickets will be sold on the door.

Mad Hatter's Scavenger Hunt

Join our themed Scavenger Hunt and navigate through St John’s Wood High Street, gathering clues that will lead you to the iconic grounds of Lord’s where a prize awaits!

This event is run in partnership with Lord’s Cricket Ground and will be a part of the St John’s Wood High Street Festival on Sunday 9th June, from 12 pm to 6 pm. The hunt will begin at our stall at the festival, which will be located next to Starbucks. Entry to the hunt will cost just £2. Simply pop by on the day to take part.

Alma Street Summer Fair

You will also find us at the Alma Street Summer Fair where we will have a raffle with prizes and other fun themed activities. The Fair takes place on Sunday 23rd June from 12 pm – 7 pm. There will be lots of family-friendly activities, food and drink. Stop by and say hello!

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Throughout June, we’re inviting you to host a tea party in aid of St John’s Hospice. Embracing the whimsical spirit of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, your tea party could be a small gathering with friends, a picnic in a local park, a bake sale at work or a larger event in your community. It could even be a lovely occasion to come together with friends and family to celebrate the life of someone special. Whatever it is you decide to do, every cup of tea poured, and every cake shared will contribute to the vital work of St John’s Hospice.

How your support helps

It costs over £7 million to be able to offer our quality, holistic care to patients and their families free of charge. As well as our Inpatient Unit and Wellbeing Centre located in St John’s Wood, we work out in the community, in people’s homes, providing care to more than 4,000 people across North London each year.‍

By attending one of our community events or signing up to host a Mad Hatter's Tea Party you will be helping us to reach more people and provide more care. Whether it is supporting a child with a bereavement counselling session following the loss of a loved one, providing a community nurse with new clinical equipment, or providing specialist one-to-one nursing on our Inpatient Unit, your fundraising will enable even more people in our community to live well for longer.
