From the Wallace Collection to Hammersmith & Fulham: A gala with lasting impact

What an unforgettable evening. Last week, we were delighted to welcome so many wonderful supporters to our gala dinner, coming together to raise vital funds for our Hospice@Home service and its exciting expansion into the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.

‍

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Wallace Collection, the night was a true celebration. Guests enjoyed the beauty of the venue and its remarkable artwork, alongside a fantastic programme of entertainment and fundraising activities.

‍

A highlight of the evening was the brilliant comedy from Marcus Brigstocke, who kept the room laughing, as well as the buzz and excitement of our auctions, pledge appeals and luxury raffle expertly led by Tom Best from The Auction Collective. Prizes on offer included a seven-night country escape in Southern France and a five-night luxury villa stay in Barbados, a Traitors-themed champagne games night and more!

‍

We're also incredibly grateful to Dr Najia Shah, our Lead Palliative Care Consultant, who gave an impassioned speech to guests highlighting the impact their support could make for countless patients and their families living in Hammersmith & Fulham.

‍

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone in attendance, every bid placed, raffle ticket bought, and pledge made helped us raise almost £200,000.

‍

These funds will now support the expansion of our Hospice@Home service into Hammersmith & Fulham – an area where, until now, this type of specialist care has not been available. This expansion will make a real difference to individuals and families when they need it most, enabling them to receive the care of St John’s Hospice in their own homes.

‍

We are immensely grateful to everyone who joined us, supported the event, donated prizes, and helped make the evening such a success.
