Help St John’s Hospice win a share of £1 million fund

St John’s Hospice has been shortlisted to win a share of a £1 million pot and you can now help us secure up to £100,000 worth of funding for our Child Bereavement Service.

St John’s Hospice is up against 31 other charities competing for a share of the Persimmon Homes’ Building Futures Fund in a public vote.

CEO Caroline Fox said: ”It is a huge achievement to have been selected as a regional finalist, our Child Bereavement Service does vital work. With prizes of £100,000, £50,000 and £20,000 being made to those winning the most online votes I would urge all our supporters to vote for the Hospice.”

Mrs Fox added: “I would like to thank Persimmon Homes North London for their backing of St John’s Hospice’s Child Bereavement Service.

“The death of a loved one can be a hugely difficult time for young people and we give them as much support as possible before and after bereavement. The service doesn’t only focus on the child, but the people around them as well. We work closely with schools and colleges to educate staff on how best to support a young person who is dealing with bereavement.

“A substantial charitable donation from Persimmon Homes would allow us to meet the increasing demand for this service but also make further improvements and ensure that we continue to support children during what can be one of the most difficult and distressing times of their lives.”

Voting could not be simpler, just log on to www.persimmonhomes.com/building-futures and select St John’s Hospice. Online voting has begun and will close at midnight on September 27.
