New Year, New Challenge: Take on an event for St John’s in 2026

In 2026, we have an incredible calendar of challenge events planned, offering something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a fun family day out, a personal fitness goal, or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

‍

Fun, family-friendly challenges

Looking for a challenge that everyone can enjoy? Our Inflatable 5K is a brilliant way to get involved. Taking place in St Albans in April, this colourful obstacle course is suitable for all abilities and is open to participants as young as five years old when accompanied by a guardian. Expect plenty of bouncing, sliding and laughter along the way.

‍

Cycle across borders

For those seeking an unforgettable experience, the London to Paris Cycle is a true bucket-list challenge. This four-day ride takes place at the end of September, guiding cyclists through the English and French countryside and along sections of the 2025 Tour de France route. With training and support provided, the challenge is suitable for cyclists of all abilities.

‍

Run for a reason

If running is your goal for the year ahead, we have places available in a range of iconic races. From the Hackney Half Marathon in May to the Saucony London 10K in July and the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October, these events are spread throughout the year, giving you plenty of time to train and build confidence.

‍

Trek unforgettable landscapes

For those looking to push themselves even further, our overseas and UK trekking challenges offer truly unforgettable experiences. Through our partner Charity Challenge, you can take on iconic routes from Snowdon to Machu Picchu. Closer to home, the Thames Footpath Challenge in October offers the chance to walk a marathon distance in one day, all while supporting local hospice care.

‍

Find your next challenge

Whether you’re setting a New Year goal, fundraising with friends, or taking on a personal challenge, every step, mile and climb helps support people in our community to live well for longer.
