London Landmarks Half Marathon

Join Team St John’s for the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 4 April 2027. Run through central London, raise vital funds for hospice care, and make every mile matter.

About the event

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed-road, central London run and the only half marathon to pass through both the City of London and the City of Westminster. Now celebrating its 10th edition, this iconic event promises an extra special atmosphere as thousands of runners take to the streets of the capital.

From cultural landmarks and heritage sites to the city’s quirky hidden gems, you’ll experience London on a route like no other. The 13.1-mile course is mostly flat, making it perfect for beginners and seasoned runners alike who are chasing a personal best.

By joining Team St John’s, you’ll also be helping us enable people to live well for longer.

“It was a challenge but glad we both got there in the end, Steve's faster than me! An enjoyable day and really pleased to have contributed to a good cause.”

Why run for St John’s?

As part of Team St John’s, you will receive:

  • A free hospice-branded technical running vest or t-shirt.
  • A London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027 finisher’s medal.
  • One-on-one support and mentoring to help you with your fundraising.
  • Regular newsletters with all our latest news and activities.
  • On the day support from our dedicated staff and volunteers at our race day cheer point.

Most importantly, your fundraising will make a real difference in the community. You’ll help us reach more people and provide vital care, whether it’s supporting a child through bereavement counselling, funding an art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre or helping families with respite care.

How your support helps

  • £25 could fund a bereavement counselling session for a patient's loved one, providing them with much needed support at the toughest time.
  • £50 could fund a group art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre, enabling our patients to learn new skills, express themselves and above all else, relax and have fun with one another.
  • £250 could fund a day of expert nursing care from a Healthcare Assistant in our Inpatient Unit.
  • £500 could fund 24-hour at-home nursing care for a patient who wants to remain in familiar and comforting surroundings in the later stages of their illness.
