Thames Moonlight 10

Join the Thames Moonlight 10 walk with St John's Hospice. Walk 10K or 10 miles through London and support vital hospice care.

About the event

The Thames Moonlight 10 Walk is a 10K or 10-mile evening walk through central London. Whether you take part with friends, family, colleagues or on your own, it's an opportunity to support St John's Hospice.

The route passes some of London's best-known landmarks, including St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge and the London Eye. At the finish, participants receive a Moonlight 10 medal, hot food, drinks, and a celebratory glass of fizz.

With a friendly atmosphere, full event support and a fully signed route, the Thames Moonlight 10 Walk is ideal for first-time walkers and experienced participants. Whether you're taking on the challenge in memory of a loved one or simply looking for your next challenge, you'll be part of something amazing!

If you've already registered, you can still choose to fundraise for us. There's no registration fee or minimum fundraising target, and we'll be here to support you with fundraising tips, resources and encouragement throughout your journey.

Why take part for St John’s Hospice?

As part of Team St John’s you will receive:

  • A free hospice-branded technical running vest or T-Shirt.
  • A Moonlight 10 2026 finisher’s medal.
  • One-on-one support and mentoring to help you with your fundraising and training.
  • On the day support from first-aid qualified Action Challenge staff.
  • Warm food and a celebratory glass of fizz at the finish line.
  • Souvenir neck buff and glow stick.

Most importantly, your fundraising will make a real difference in the community. You’ll help us reach more people and provide vital care, whether it’s supporting a child through bereavement counselling, funding an art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre or helping families with respite care.

How your support helps:

  • £25 could fund a bereavement counselling session for a patient's loved one, providing them with much needed support at the toughest time.
  • £50 could fund a group art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre, enabling our patients to learn new skills, express themselves and above all else, relax and have fun with one another.
  • £250 could fund a day of expert nursing care from a Healthcare Assistant in our Inpatient Unit.
  • £500 could fund 24-hour at-home nursing care for a patient who wants to remain in familiar and comforting surroundings in the later stages of their illness.
