About the event
Starting at Paternoster Square you’ll receive your free 5-piece Santa suit to wear as you walk, jog or run the 5k route past the City’s spectacular landmarks alongside your fellow Santas! When you cross the finish line, you can claim your exclusive medal and celebrate.
Whether you’re a beginner or chasing a personal best, solo or with family and friends, Santa in the City is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit while supporting St John’s Hospice.
Please note that there will be no bag drop at the event and you must arrive in time to collect your free Santa suit before your wave time (unless you request for this to be sent to you in advance). Under 18s go free and must be accompanied by an adult at all times, all participants must be 3+. To register an under 18 for this event please click the appropriate button.
Why take part for St John’s Hospice?
As part of Team St John’s you will receive:
- A free 5-piece Santa suit to wear on the day. This must be collected alongside your race number on the day.
- An exclusive Santa in the City finisher’s medal.
- One-on-one support and mentoring to help you with your fundraising and training.
Most importantly, your fundraising will make a real difference in the community. You’ll help us reach more people and provide vital care, whether it’s supporting a child through bereavement counselling, funding an art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre or helping families with respite care.
How your support helps
Your £100 fundraising target would support all of the below:
- Two bereavement counselling sessions for a patient's loved one, providing them with much needed support at the toughest time.
- A group art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre, enabling our patients to learn new skills, express themselves and above all else, relax and have fun with one another.
