Why run for St John’s Hospice?
As part of Team St John’s, you will receive:
- A free hospice-branded technical running vest or T shirt.
- One-on-one support from our dedicated team
- In person training day and tour of St John's.
- Tips and advice to help you smash your fundraising target
Most importantly, your fundraising will make a real difference in the community. You’ll help us reach more people and provide vital care, whether it’s supporting a child through bereavement counselling, funding an art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre or helping families with respite care.
Please note that the cost of travel and/or insurance, accommodation, and any optional extras is not included. These will need to be arranged and paid for separately.
How your support helps
Your brilliant fundraising total of £700 could fund all of the below:
- One day of Hospice@Home care, enabling a patient to remain in the comfort of their own home during the later stages of their illness while also providing valuable respite for their carers.
- Ten bereavement counselling sessions for patients' loved ones, providing compassionate support when they need it most.
- Three group art or music therapy sessions, giving patients the opportunity to express themselves creatively, learn new skills and enjoy meaningful time together.
- Four physiotherapy sessions, helping a patient maintain or rebuild their strength and live as independently and fully as possible.
